Participating in the STLE program has revitalized my teaching and delivery of instruction. As an experienced educator it is easy to get caught up with do things that same way year in and year out. This program has re-emphasized and refreshed my memory on the structure of an effective lesson plan and the delivery of each lesson. -Todd Hertzog, Chenango Valley CSD STLE 2 was by far the best professional development instruction I’ve received as a teacher. I learned many strategies and gained knowledge that I can implement in my classroom. I really enjoyed that they gave us actual strategies and ideas for activities to try in our classrooms. The most beneficial part was the time given to collaborate with other educators and hear and see what they do in their classrooms. The training has positively benefited my teaching style, and will in turn benefit my students for years to come. -Kristina Gregory, Johnson City CSD As I move onward, I am looking forward to reflecting with my peers on the data meeting process in order to refine and improve our work. I am also looking forward to the STLE coaching piece. Part of my work each day is planning for effective instruction with teachers, noticing learning behaviors in our students, and promoting effective reflection that improves our instruction and student learning. I am excited to have the support and input of many other professionals who are also learning to be effective peer coaches. A regional network of coaches is a powerful asset as we learn to navigate this unique role and its challenges. -Therese Hans, Owego CSD
