2. Prussik Peak Aug 14, 2003 ~ Aug 15, 2003

3. After 5 hours of hiking, we arrived at our camp site by snow lake, our home for the next 3 days. Aug 14 4pm, Snow lake

4. we left our camp at 7am and started our attempt of Prussik Peak. Aug 15 8am: view on our way to Enchantments

7. 11:30am, West Ridge, Prussik Peak, overcast and dark cloud in the south Hesitation among the group. Shall we go up?

8. And yes, at 1pm we decided to press onward and upward. Belayed by Annie, Bruce started leading the first pitch,.

12. From 1-5 pm, we were climbing and climbing … nothing else in the world mattered

17. Bruce, Annie and Tao were sorting the gears. Enchantment lakes were 1000 feet below them.

20. 7:30 pm, we arrived at the base of the climb. The summit of prussik was bathed in alpine glow. 10:30pm, we got back to our camp at Snow Lake in pitch dark.
