The Rebellion Bacon: “the poverty of the country is such that all the power and sway is got into the hands of the rich” Nathaniel Bacon leads poor farmers against Indians, then storm Jamestown- burn it

Outcomes of Rebellion 1. 1st popular uprising in the colonies 2. Foreshadows Revolution – rebellion against the government that taxes the people but some people feel doesn’t serve their needs 3. Wealthy class – started to fear servants so turned to different servants (black slaves)
