Topic sentence: Who is on trial, for what crime, and what you will prove. -State briefly reason one. -State briefly reason two. -State briefly reason three. -State the opposition’s reason(s) that you will address later. -Give a concluding sentence that will persuade the jury your argument is correct.

3 Paragraph 2 State your topic sentence.
-State your first reason (from par. 1) -Give specific facts for support or go into more detail. -State your second reason. -State your third reason. -State the opponent’s reason(s). Tell of their validity. -Tell why your points outweigh your opponent’s views. -Coclude your paragraph and transition.

4 Conclusion -Restate person, crime, and position.
-Restate first point briefly. -Restate second point briefly. -Restate third point briefly. Conclude by telling why your point of view must be reached. What’s at stake?
