View of Barcombe Village hall from the reservoir. Built in 2011. A modern green sustainable hall that can boast a green roof, a rainwater harvesting system, a ground source heat pump and a mechanical fresh air system.

The office room 4mx3m The office room and store can be accessed on the left when entering the building. It can be used as a cloakroom by prior arrangement. A dress rail and hangers are located in the office store.

Main Hall 9m x 14.5m Seating capacity: 120 around tables or 150 close seated. Access onto the lawns via 4 French doors. The lighting can be dimmed. There is a hearing loop which is on at all the time.

Kitchen 5.5m x 3.5m There is a full size upright fridge and similar fridge freezer. A wall mounted drinks water heater. A large domestic cooker with five rings and oven measuring 22ins wide x 15.5ins. Microwave oven combination. Hand washbasin. 150 x 250 ml wine glasses 150 reusable plastic cups. 60 cups and saucers. 20 bread/cracker bowls. 35 Tea light glass holders The outside door opens into the lobby area containing rubbish bins and an outside tap.

Car Park There are spaces for 30 cars including two designated disabled bays. If required, an overflow car park is available for hire adjacent to the site, by prior arrangement with the owner but only during dry weather. Hedley Cornwell (01273) 400662.

Corridor leading to Toilets, Snooker Club and Stage Lights come on automatically in the lobby and in the toilets. There is a disabled toilet which includes a shower and baby changing facilities. There is also a small children’s toilet at the top of the corridor.

The Great Wall of Barcombe A wonderful fundraiser of 435 personalised inscribed bricks.

Snooker room This room is primarily for the Barcombe Men’s Club with the use of the snooker table on a membership basis. For further information contact: Derek Stewart (01273) 400993.

Stage/Meeting room 10m x 8m The cupboards and kitchenette in this area are for use by Barcombe Playgroup and the Drama Group so are out of bounds for hirers. There is a basement area below the stage which is also out of bounds.

From stage to main hall. The room has been decorated with bunting for a wedding. There is an extendable pole in the office which can be used for hoisting decorations onto the hooks.

There is wheelchair access from the main hall to the stage via the lobby area.

The main hall and stage that can be used as 2 separate function rooms with the aid of sound proof stage doors or as a split level one room.

Fabulous, forever changing agricultural views down to the reservoir and up to the Ashdown Forest.

Lawns A breathtaking space for relaxing and enjoying the countryside. Strictly no barbecues or fires on the lawn areas. Raised barbecues are permissible.

Automatic outside lighting around the pathway, the car park and the lawns.
