And what do you have that you did not receive? Now if you did indeed receive it, why do you boast as if you had not received it?”

And thereby put me to the test, says the LORD of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need.”

12. Money Is Like Manna Jim Palmer, in “Where’s the ‘Common Cents?’” Think, June, 2007, p. 4. compares money to manna. It is a blessing from God – Exodus 16:4a “Then the LORD said to Moses, “Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you.” It was temporarily valuable for meeting a need – Exodus 16:16b “Let every man gather it according to each one’s need, one omer for each person, according to the number of persons; let every man take for those who are in his tent.”

18. Save for the Future As soon as is possible, it is a good idea to save between four and six months’ salary. Palmer says, “Einstein called compounding interest the ‘8th wonder of the world.’ $500 per month for 30 yrs. @ 10% is over $1 million!
