The first you see in the display when you connect the power is the software version.

Ex: Let’s say that you have a movinghead and it has the color wheel on channel 1, the gobo wheel on channel 2 and the pan and tilt on ch. 3 and 4. If the fader is on (default) on every channel and you want the movinghead to move Slowly from one direction to another. At the same time you want to change color and gobo. What will happened ? Yes, the movinghead will move slowly as you programmed, but the color- and gobo wheel will also move slowly till it reach the right color and gobo, resulting that it is changing colors and gobos in the hole movement. When you have the possibility to turn off the fading on channel 1 and 2, the movinghead will changes the color- and gobo instantly, but the pan and tilt will move slowly as it should. Why Fade On or Off menu ?

Choose DMX ch. that you want to Fade or not with the Master Fader. Turn Fade On or Off with F1 or F3.

Press and release the Ptch knob: This takes you to the PATCH Menu

With the Patch-Menu you can change the DMX channels… on the Faders of the DMX144.

This means that you can control other DMX ch. than the one… that is default on the faders.

Ex: Somebody on stage has reversed the connection on lamp 13 and 14. What to do ?

In Patch-Menu: Move the Master Fader and press DEL on ch.13 + 14. They are now ready to be Patched.

Find the DMX Ch.14 and press Mix Ch.(F3)

Find the Mixers ch. 13 and confirm with OK. NB! You will see that it is only Deleted channels that is available.

TIPS: If you don’t know which DMX number your lights are using, just look at the lamps when you move the master fader. You will see that the light is changing from one lamp to another as you changes the DMX Channel. The mixer is sending out value of 80%.

Press Exit to leave the Patch Menu
