8. Schedule  There are 8 instructional periods in a schedule and a lunch period 5 core classes 3 time slots (class or study hall)  Some courses are one semester and others are year-long

9. Foreign Language Courses  The class is OPTIONAL  It is a high school level course  Students may study French, Spanish or German*  One semester – 7th grade  The 7th grade course will introduce students to an international language  One year – 8th grade (goes on HS transcript)

10. Music Courses  Students are required to take at least one semester of a music class (7 th or 8 th grade)  Band, Strings, and Choir are year-long courses  Bells and Music in Film are semester courses
