A few fast facts: 1973 was the year when School 2 Galati started its courses. The school is situated in a quite old residential district, with blocks of flats built in the 1960s. There are14 classrooms: many of them equipped with TV sets, videos, radio-cassette players; our pupils come to school in two shifts the primary classes in the morning and the secondary classes in the afternoon. Pupils can also do their classes in the physics and chemistry lab, the biology lab, the computer lab connected to the internet, the gym; special activities may take place in the library or the multimedia room. Outside there is a sports ground at the back of the school and a garden in front of it.

Our 630 students – almost half of them in elementary and half in secondary school are taught and educated by 40 teachers with a lot of experience and great results in their didactic work. Lots of extra curricular activities have been developing in our school implying all the students and most of the teachers; the participation in national and international projects has brought us recognition, appreciation and valuable diplomas and prizes. Among the extracurricular activities constantly performed by our students the ecological ones enjoy much success among them. That's why our participation in this Comenius Project about the water world was enthusiastically greeted by all of us, students and teachers.
