10 December Rhythms POWERPOINT BY TRACY KING Modified by Sandra Hendrickson Sounds on the Beat Say the pictures in order. Clap the pictures. How many syllables? How many claps? Match the pictures to the notes. Clap and say the notes (ta ta titi, etc…) Divide students into two groups. Group A plays the rhythm, Group B plays the steady beat. Use a variety of instruments. Add Xylophones and pitched instruments. Steady beat on C and Rhythms on E or G.
