This demonstration will show you how to use Adobe Reader’s free Read-Out-Loud text- to-speech solution with Adobe’s Portable Document Format (PDF) E-Text within the Windows 7 environment and have a conversation on the viability of this free solution and client preference.

PDF is often the default format provided by publishers to higher-ed disability service providers for use as an alternative format or for further format conversion/creation. PDF is often the default format for library course reserves and can be a “graphic based” barrier or an enriched searchable environment if created as selectable E-Text.
