Pray To The Lord Is anyone among you suffering? Then he must pray. Is anyone cheerful? He is to sing praises. Is anyone among you sick? Then he must call for the elders of the church and they are to pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; (Ja. 5:13-14) Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much. (Ja. 5:16) Therefore I want the men in every place to pray, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and dissension. (1 Tim. 2:8) "Keep watching and praying that you may not enter into temptation; the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak ." (Matt. 26:41) pray without ceasing (1 Th. 5:17) And He went a little beyond them, and fell on His face and prayed, saying, "My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; yet not as I will, but as You will." (Matt. 26:39) Formal prayer to God (proseuchomai)

Pray To The Lord "In that day you will not question Me about anything. Truly, truly, I say to you, if you ask the Father for anything in My name, He will give it to you. (Jn. 16:23) "I ask on their behalf; I do not ask on behalf of the world, but of those whom You have given Me; for they are Yours; (Jn. 17:9) "I do not ask You to take them out of the world, but to keep them from the evil one. (Jn. 17:15) "I do not ask on behalf of these alone, but for those also who believe in Me through their word; (Jn. 17:20) If anyone sees his brother committing a sin not leading to death, he shall ask and God will for him give life to those who commit sin not leading to death. There is a sin leading to death; I do not say that he should make request for this. (1 Jn. 5:16) Formal prayer to God (proseuchomai) Ask, entreat, beg, beseech (erotao)

Pray To The Lord And when they had prayed, the place where they had gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak the word of God with boldness. (Acts 4:31) "But keep on the alert at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are about to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man." (Lk. 21:36) always in my prayers making request, if perhaps now at last by the will of God I may succeed in coming to you. (Rom. 1:10) But Simon answered and said, “Pray to the Lord for me yourselves, so that nothing of what you have said may come upon me.” (Acts 8:24) especially because you are an expert in all customs and questions among the Jews; therefore I beg you to listen to me patiently. (Acts 26:3) Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. (2 Cor. 5:20) Formal prayer to God (proseuchomai) Ask, entreat, beg, beseech (erotao) Communicate desires and wants (deomai)

Pray To The Lord Brethren, my heart's desire and my prayer to God for them is for their salvation. (Rom. 10:1) Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. (Phil. 4:6) With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints, (Eph. 6:18) In the days of His flesh, He offered up both prayers and supplications with loud crying and tears to the One able to save Him from death, and He was heard because of His piety. (Heb. 5:7) “For the eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous, and His ears attend to their prayer, but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.” (1 Pet. 3:12) Formal prayer to God (proseuchomai) Ask, entreat, beg, beseech (erotao) Communicate desires and wants (deomai) Ask God to supply our wants and needs (deesis)
