3 Turning Information Into Achievement Generating a Performance Band Report From the Benchmark Tab, click on the Report icon

4 Turning Information Into Achievement Select which Report to Generate Select the type of report you’d like by clicking on the picture, or the link. Let’s start by selecting a Performance Band Report.

5 Turning Information Into Achievement Select the Assessment Select the assessment for which you’d like to run your Performance Band report 1. Click here to open the folder 2. Click here to select the assessment 3. Click “Continue”

6 Turning Information Into Achievement 1. Using the drop down menu, select which students to include on the report. Reports can be generated to reflect scores for all students that took the assessment, scores for individual class periods, or for each individual student. 2. Click here to include scores for Standards 3. Select the way that you’d like the Standard Scores to be displayed 4. Check here to include Item Analysis on the report, and to select which questions should be highlighted. Select the General Report Options

Using the links, you can further disaggregate the data by the categories listed. Click on the blue link to make your selection. 4. Click continue

9 Turning Information Into Achievement Report will open in an Adobe Reader window. You can either view through the window, or save a copy to your desktop for a larger view. Use the Scrollbar to view We’ve Created a Performance Band Report

10 Turning Information Into Achievement Header shows the type of report and names the assessment Shows which options were selected in creating the report Shows how students performed overall on the assessment. This shows me that the average score on the assessment was a 68%, or that on average students earned 23.2 out of a possible 34 points. Defines each standard aligned to the test, and identifies which question assessed knowledge of that standard Shows where students fell in each performance band that was created for the assessment. This shows me that 25 students, or 13% of all the students in this group, fell in the Strategic band. Shows how students performed on each standard that was aligned to the assessment. This shows me that 118 (or 59%) of all the students in this group performed in the Performance Band labeled Above 50% for Standard Number Sense 1.3 Reading the Performance Band Report

11 Turning Information Into Achievement Scroll down to the second page of the report to view the Item Analysis section (if you selected the option to include it in your report). Key to abbreviations used on the report This shows that on item number 12, the average student performance was.72 out of a possible total of 1 point. The most frequently chosen incorrect response on #12 was a, while the correct answer was b. Reading the Report-continued

13 Turning Information Into Achievement Start again in the Benchmark Tab Click on the Reports link. You can use either icon.

Click here to select which scores to include on the report 4. Chose the highlighting. You can chose to have no highlighting; to highlight only specific performance bands; or you can chose color coded highlighting. 2. Scores can be sorted either by student last name, or overall performance. Use the drop down menu to make the selection of how you would like your data to be sorted. 3. Click “Continue” Select the General Report Options
