You and Music for Miracles… During last year’s inaugural event, thousands of people from throughout the Capital District and beyond came to listen to a great line-up of local and national talent and support this great cause. As a corporate sponsor, you’d be given booth space and could provide information to visitors encompassing a broad range of demographics. Depending on your level of sponsorship, you also may be featured in print and electronic advertising for this event. And because the festival is free, the opportunity to touch people of all ages and income is limitless. The following is a fact sheet about Music for Miracles, and the different sponsorship levels. 2. Music for Miracles a celebration… a collaboration It’s not every day that you have an opportunity to help create a miracle. And today, you do! It started with an idea by legendary Capital Region band, The Refrigerators. How could they use their star status to do good in the community, and raise funds for those whose need would always exceed their reach? The idea resonated with others: with GE, which believes in supporting the communities in which its employees live and work; and with Albany Broadcasting, which also believes in enhancing the quality of its community’s life. The answer was a festival – a joyous music festival – to support children in need. And the cause? To fund vital medical care and research. And so Music for Miracles, a benefit for The Children’s Hospital at Albany Medical Center, was born. Music for Miracles is a day-long summer festival at Washington Park in Albany. The day brings together people from the Capital Region and beyond to celebrate in that common language, music! Last year’s festival included teen heart throb, Ben Jelen; Hulk Hogan’s singer- daughter, Brooke; a CD featuring original music recorded by The Refrigerators as part of a novel song-writing competition; and of course, The Refrigerators themselves. The festival also introduced the three winners of the song-writing competition: Ryan Lukas (for Refrigerators), Sean Rowe (for Duct Tape Man) and Jack Nemier (for Better Your Life). This year’s festival on June 18 promises to have all the ingredients for an even more memorable day. It’s just missing one key player – you! Be a part of our celebration. Become a sponsor. Your contribution will help support the 125-bed hospital devoted exclusively to the medical needs of infants, children and adolescents. Your contribution will fund the region’s only Level IV neonatal intensive care unit. Your contribution will touch the 35,000 critically ill children served each year by the hospital, as well as their families whose hospitalization fears are eased by the child-friendly environment.
