If you forget your User ID or Password, you can click on the Forgot your user ID or password? link. You will be prompted to enter either your user ID or email address. Note: If your company is using Single Sign-On (SSO), you will need to access your internal website and click on the Login button. To begin using CAT Enterprise, follow the steps to log in:

All rights reserved. 2 Once you log in, you will see the homepage; you can use the menu and main screen tabs to navigate: Menu Main Screen Tabs CAT: Access to Competency Inventory. Search: Search on Positions, Maps, Skills, & Development Activities. Custom Toolbar: Links of interest (internal/external). Help: Access to CAT Help. Menu Home: Graphical view of Skill Assessment and Development Activity progress. Details: Access your account information, assigned Position(s), group membership, & profile. Preferences: Set your display preferences and, if applicable, change your password. Role Summary: View your assigned roles. Main Screen Tabs

3 © 2011 PetroSkills, LLC. All rights reserved. 3 From the CAT homepage, click on your Position in the tree located in the left frame window. Click on Competency Inventory under CAT in the menu. (You can also use this menu to access your Gap Analysis, Activity Profile, and Development Plan.) Your main screen now displays your Position as a list of relevant Competency Maps. Access your Competency Inventory in one of two ways: - or -

4 © 2011 PetroSkills, LLC. All rights reserved. 4 Legend - Move the cursor over this button to display the colors and settings used in the self-assessment. Historical Comparison: Displays a graphical side-by-side comparison of your Position from two different dates. Grayscale Mode: Displays your assessments in a grayscale mode or reverts back to color mode. Toggle Development Activities: Displays the Development Activities linked to each skill. Show Only Assessments As Of… : Allows you to view only the Skill Descriptions with assessments as of a specific date. Not Assessed Skill Descriptions: Shows only those Skill Descriptions that have not been assessed. Show Only Assessments that Do not Agree: Shows previous Skill Descriptions, if changed. Expand/Collapse: Expands or collapses all of the Skill Groups. Show only high importance skills: Displays only the skills that have been identified by the Administrator or your Supervisor as being of ‘high importance.’ Print Help Use the Competency Inventory icons to help you with your assessment:

Click on the Notes tab (1), enter your notes in the provided field (2), and then click Save (3). Click the Edit icon to edit your note. Click the Delete icon to delete your note. While conducting your assessments, mouseover the Legend icon to view skill assessment colors and percentage guidelines. Legend Notes Use the Legend and Notes feature while you assess:

6 © 2011 PetroSkills, LLC. All rights reserved. 6 1. Click the + symbol on a Map. 2. Click the + symbol to open the Skill Group. Assess your skills by opening the Competency Maps for your Position: The Skill Descriptions are then displayed.

7 © 2011 PetroSkills, LLC. All rights reserved. 7 3. Read the Skill Description carefully. 4. Right-click on the Skill Description and select a competency level: All, Some, or Few. (You can also left- click and assess and add notes from the dialog box. After you have selected your proficiency level, the bottom-half of the box changes color. 5. Continue to assess your skills.

All rights reserved. 8 Use the Gap Analysis to identify your skill gaps: ► After your self-assessment, click on the Gap Analysis tab or access the Gap Analysis from the CAT menu. ► The Gap Analysis screen gives a linear graph representation of the assessments you have made without any text details. The same color convention is used with green, yellow, and red. The blue bar displays the Skill title. Gap Analysis Tab View Skill Description Move your cursor over the colored boxes to view the full Skill Description. Percent Complete Beneath each Skill Group title is a percentage and a green bar, indicating the total percentage you have completed of that whole Skill Group. Gap Analysis Status ‘Developed’ is the current status of your entire Position you have as complete. ‘High Importance Developed’ applies to “High Importance” Skill Descriptions only. Development Activities Move your cursor over a Development Activity code; the Activity name will appear. Click on the code to see course details. Note: Click on the DP icon to add the adjacent Development Activity to your Development Plan.

9 © 2011 PetroSkills, LLC. All rights reserved. 9 You can predict the effect a Development Activity will have on your skill gaps by checking the box next to the Activity code. The Skill Descriptions that would be covered by that Activity are outlined in blue. You can also do the reverse by clicking on any number of Skill Descriptions, which will be highlighted in red, and the associated Development Activities will be highlighted in blue. 10 © 2011 PetroSkills, LLC. All rights reserved. 10 The vertical axis represents the different Development Activities associated with required Skill Descriptions. The horizontal axis represents the number of Skill Descriptions related to the particular Activity. Click on a hyperlinked (blue underlined) Development Activity name, and a popup window appears showing the Activity details. Use the Activity Profile to further analyze your skill gaps: ► After your Gap Analysis, click on the Activity Profile tab. ► The Activity Profile shows you what effect a Development Activity would have on your skills/competencies. All rights reserved. 11 Manage your Development Activities with your Development Plan: ► After your Activity Profile, click on the Development Plan tab. ► If you added any Development Activities, they are listed here. You need to set start and end dates for all Activities. Activities are added by clicking the Add Activity button or by clicking on the DP icon in the Gap Analysis or Activity Profile. All Activities have a start date of Jan 1—set the appropriate dates with the Set Dates feature (Step 2). 1.Add Activities Development Plan Tab Add Activity Button Added Activities

12 © 2011 PetroSkills, LLC. All rights reserved. 12 All Development Activities are set with a start/end date of Jan 1. Right-click on an Activities name and select Set Dates. From the dialog box, click on the calendar icon to set the start and end dates for the chosen Activity. 2.Set Dates All Development Activities are set to a default priority of “low.” This is indicated by a red, downward arrow. Right-click on the Activity name and choose a priority of low, medium, or high. 3.Set Priority Low Medium High
