Striking facts Every third person is aged 60-64 years Women constitute ~ 83% of senior pensioners 14.1 % are over the age of 80 years 2050 the number of elderly will increase 2.5 times The average pension is 1,087 Lei (~ 55 Euro) The minimum consumer goods basket reaches 1,668 Lei (~ 85 Euro) About 82 % receive a pension under 1,300 Lei (~ 65 Euro)
