The Angels of God Class 6: What do the Angels want from you?
2
Angels work hard & get excited! Zechariah 1:8-10 8I saw by night, and behold, a man riding on a red horse, and it stood among the myrtle trees in the hollow; and behind him were horses: red, sorrel, and white. 9Then I said, "My lord, what are these?" So the angel who talked with me said to me, "I will show you what they are." 10And the man who stood among the myrtle trees answered and said, "These are the ones whom the LORD has sent to walk to and fro throughout the earth."

Zechariah 1:11-14 11So they answered the Angel of the LORD, who stood among the myrtle trees, and said, "We have walked to and fro throughout the earth, and behold, all the earth is resting quietly." 12Then the Angel of the LORD answered and said, "O LORD of hosts, how long will You not have mercy on Jerusalem and on the cities of Judah, against which You were angry these seventy years?" 13And the LORD answered the angel who talked to me, with good and comforting words. 14So the angel who spoke with me said to me, "Proclaim, saying, 'Thus says the LORD of hosts: "I am zealous for Jerusalem and for Zion with great zeal. God will finish the temple in 4 years
6
Zechariah 2:1-4 1Then I raised my eyes and looked, and behold, a man with a measuring line in his hand. 2So I said, "Where are you going?" And he said to me, "To measure Jerusalem, to see what is its width and what is its length." 3And there was the angel who talked with me, going out; and another angel was coming out to meet him, 4who said to him, "Run, speak to this young man, saying: 'Jerusalem shall be inhabited as towns without walls, because of the multitude of men and livestock in it. Angels work selflessly together. One is in charge, others do what he asks. If we hope to be equal to angels, we must learn to live like them now – selflessly working in our ecclesias and families
7
Zechariah 3:1-5 1 Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the Angel of the Lord (Michael – Jude 9), and Satan standing at his right hand to oppose him. 2 And the Lord said to Satan, "The Lord rebuke you, Satan! The Lord who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Is this not a brand plucked from the fire?" 3 Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and was standing before the Angel. 4 Then He (Michael) answered and spoke to those who stood before Him, saying, "Take away the filthy garments from him." And to him He said, "See, I have removed your iniquity from you, and I will clothe you with rich robes." 5 And I said, "Let them put a clean turban on his head.“ So they put a clean turban on his head, and they put the clothes on him. And the Angel of the Lord stood by.
8
Zechariah 3:6-9 6 Then the Angel of the Lord admonished Joshua, saying, 7 "Thus says the Lord of hosts: 'If you will walk in My ways, and if you will keep My command, Then you shall also judge My house, and likewise have charge of My courts; I will give you places to walk among these who stand here. 8 'Hear, O Joshua, the high priest, you and your companions who sit before you, for they are a wondrous sign; For behold, I am bringing forth My Servant the BRANCH. 9 For behold, the stone that I have laid before Joshua: Upon the stone are seven eyes. Behold, I will engrave its inscription, 'Says the Lord of hosts, 'And I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day.
9
Zechariah 4:1-5 1 Now the angel who talked with me came back and wakened me, as a man who is wakened out of his sleep. 2 And he said to me, "What do you see?” So I said, "I am looking, and there is a lampstand of solid gold with a bowl on top of it, and on the stand seven lamps with seven pipes to the seven lamps. 3 Two olive trees are by it, one at the right of the bowl and the other at its left." 4 So I answered and spoke to the angel who talked with me, saying, "What are these, my lord?" 5 Then the angel who talked with me answered and said to me, "Do you not know what these are?” And I said, "No, my lord.“
10
Zechariah 4:6-10 6 So he answered and said to me: "This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: 'Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit, 'Says the Lord of hosts. 7 'Who are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain! And he shall bring forth the capstone with shouts of "Grace, grace to it!"'" 8 Moreover the word of the Lord came to me, saying: 9 "The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this temple; His hands shall also finish it. Then you will know that the Lord of hosts has sent Me to you. 10 For who has despised the day of small things? (Haggai deals with this!) For these seven (angels) rejoice to see the plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel. They are the eyes of the Lord, which scan to and fro throughout the whole earth."
11
Matthew 4:10-11 10Then Jesus said to him, "Away with you, Satan! For it is written, 'You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.'" 11Then the devil left Him, and behold, angels came and ministered to Him. John 1:50-51 50 Jesus answered and said to him, "Because I said to you, 'I saw you under the fig tree,' do you believe? You will see greater things than these." 51 And He said to him, "Most assuredly, I say to you, hereafter you shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of Man." Angels worked to save Jesus
12
Matthew 26:36-38 36Then Jesus came with them to a place called Gethsemane, and said to the disciples, "Sit here while I go and pray over there." 37And He took with Him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and He began to be sorrowful and deeply distressed. 38Then He said to them, "My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death. Stay here and watch with Me." In his time of great sorrow and distress, Jesus needed his friends
13
Matthew 26:39-41 39He went a little farther and fell on His face, and prayed, saying, "O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will." 40Then He came to the disciples and found them asleep, and said to Peter, "What? Could you not watch with Me one hour? 41"Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak." The disciples were overcome and bewildered by what Jesus was going through. They let him down.
14
Matthew 26:42-43 42Again, a second time, He went away and prayed, saying, "O My Father, if this cup cannot pass away from Me unless I drink it, Your will be done." 43And He came and found them asleep again, for their eyes were heavy. When Jesus’ friends failed, an angel came through for him! Luke 22:43-44 43Then an angel appeared to Him from heaven, strengthening Him. 44 And being in agony, He prayed more earnestly. Then His sweat became like great drops of blood falling Matthew 26:43 43And He came and found them asleep again, for their eyes were heavy.
15
John 20:10-14 10Then the disciples went away again to their own homes. 11But Mary stood outside by the tomb weeping, and as she wept she stooped down and looked into the tomb. 12And she saw two angels in white sitting, one at the head and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain. 13Then they said to her, "Woman, why are you weeping?" She said to them, "Because they have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they have laid Him." 14Now when she had said this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, and did not know that it was Jesus. These angels had brought Jesus through a perfect life and finally could resurrection him for God
16
Matthew 28:18, 5-6 18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 5 But the angel answered and said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. 6 "He is not here; for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. 1 Peter 3:22 Who (Jesus) has gone into heaven and is at the right hand of God, angels and authorities and powers having been made subject to Him. Hebrew 1:6 But when He again brings the firstborn into the world, He says: "Let all the angels of God worship Him." Angels are now subject to Christ
17
Hebrews 2:5-9 5For He has not put the world to come, of which we speak, in subjection to angels. 6But one testified in a certain place, saying: "What is man that You are mindful of him, or the son of man that You take care of him? 7You have made him a little lower than the angels; you have crowned him with glory and honor, and set him over the works of Your hands. 8You have put all things in subjection under his feet." For in that He put all in subjection under him, He left nothing that is not put under him. But now we do not yet see all things put under him. 9But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, for the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, that He, by the grace of God, might taste death for everyone. Angels are subject to Christ now, and in the kingdom
18
2 Thessalonians 1:7-8 7and to give you who are troubled rest with us when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels, 8in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. Angels will assist Jesus Christ when he returns to establish his kingdom
19
Angels will gather the Elect Matthew 24:30-31 30 Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
20
Angels will eliminate wicked Matthew 13:39-42 39 The enemy who sowed them is the devil, the harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are the angels. 40 Therefore as the tares are gathered and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of this age. 41 The Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who practice lawlessness, 42 and will cast them into the furnace of fire. Matthew 13:49-50 49 So it will be at the end of the age. The angels will come forth, separate the wicked from among the just, 50 and cast them into the furnace of fire.
21
Angels at the judgment seat Luke 12:8-9 8 "Also I say to you, whoever confesses Me before men, him the Son of Man also will confess before the angels of God. 9 But he who denies Me before men will be denied before the angels of God. Angels will probably bring us to the judgment and explain why we are accepted or rejected
22
Some saints will rule angels 1 Corinthians 6:1-3 1 Dare any of you, having a matter against another, go to law before the unrighteous, and not before the saints? 2 Do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world will be judged by you, are you unworthy to judge the smallest matters? 3 Do you not know that we shall judge angels? How much more, things that pertain to this life? As saints and angels merge in the Kingdom age, some saints will be over some angels of today
23
Acts 1:9-11 9Now when He had spoken these things, while they watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight. 10And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel, 11who also said, "Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven." As Jesus ascended into heaven, angels remained to continue their work as ministering spirits for the sake of those who will inherit salvation!
24
Acts 27:22-25 22"And now I urge you to take heart, for there will be no loss of life among you, but only of the ship. 23"For there stood by me this night an angel of the God to whom I belong and whom I serve, 24"saying, 'Do not be afraid, Paul; you must be brought before Caesar; and indeed God has granted you all those who sail with you.' 25"Therefore take heart, men, for I believe God that it will be just as it was told me. Angel reassured Paul in a crisis time for him. Angels will stand by you too during tough times
25
Cherebim: Chariots of God ? Ezekiel 1 Angels brought the Babylonians down to destroy Jerusalem and picked up God’s Glory from the ark in the temple Revelation 4 The faithful saints have become members of God’s family and manifest his spirit in the Kingdom of God
