6 The White Horse The Spanish brought Horses, bows and arrows to America. Contrary to stereotypes, Native Americans weren’t originally equipped with horses, bows and arrows. The Native American first received horses from Spanish explorers Coronado and DeSoto when they entered America’s wilderness in 1540. their first horses from the Spanish.
