But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin. 1 John 1:7

Things Hidden in Darkness Prevent fellowship with God Prevent fellowship with other believers Prevent cleansing by the blood of Christ

Living in Truth Constant working of the Holy Spirit in our lives Believers used in our lives as the “body of Christ” Constant defeat of the devil’s plans for us

If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. 1 John 1:8

Deceiving Ourselves and Others About Sin Comes from pride Will block the grace of God to us (breakdowns!) Produces “hypocrites” (play actors) Sets us up to believe more and greater lies
