2 Introduction The 2.0 version of the Aadhaar Enrolment Client, which is also referred to as ECMP, i.e. Enrolment Client MultiPlatform, has several new and updated features as compared to the client ver.1.5 This training patch aims at making the transition from the older version of the client, simpler and smoother for Operators and Supervisors who are involved in the enrolment process. New EA staff, who have not used the older version should learn about the Aadhaar Enrolment Client by going through the books and CBTs available on the UIDAI website, www.uidai.gov.in

The new features and updates can be categorized as belonging to the ECA or the ECMP or the ECMP lite sections of ECMP. It is envisaged that some tasks related to client configuration may performed by the EA Supervisor and changes in these sections have been presented in the slides that follow. Hence each slide would have a category indicator as listed below: ECA – Categorized as ECA ECMP – Has three main tabs which have been presented as, Resident enrolment – Categorized as Type R Life Cycle changes – Categorized as Type L Processes – Categorized as Type P ECMP Lite – Categorized as ECMP Lite 4 Overview

5 Version 1.5 – ECA > Local Biometric Enrolment Version 2.0 – ECA > Local Enrolment ECA - Search for OSI using Search String This new feature enables the Admin/Supervisor to search for and select an Operator/Supervisor/Introducer based on a string, which could be the first name of the O/S/I

6 ECA - Client Security Screen Version 2.0 – ECA > Client Security A Client Security screen, which contains “Import User Credential”, “External Encryption and Decryption” and “GPS Information” sections, has been introduced. Used to import the downloaded xml file containing Operator and Supervisor credentials into AEC

7 Version 1.5 – ECA > Database Mgmt. Version 2.0 – ECA > Database Mgmt. ECA – Import Name Dictionaries “Drop and Create Runtime Tables” option is removed. “Import Name Dictionaries” option is included.

8 Version 1.5 – ECAVersion 2.0 – ECA ECA & ECMP - GPS Icon A globe shaped icon representing GPS device has been added in the new version of ECA and ECMP. A red icon will appear on top of the image if the GPS device is not connected or recognized. The GPS device must be used by the Operator to obtain the current position of the Enrolment Station in terms of Latitude and Longitude, before starting enrolments for the day.

9 Version 1.5 – ECA > Local Biometric Enrolment Version 2.0 – ECA > Local Enrolment ECA - Local Enrolment Menu name of the “Local Biometric Enrolment” has been changed to “Local Enrolment”. There is no change in functionality, only the Menu name has been changed.

10 Version 1.5 – ECA > Demographics Screen Version 2.0 – ECA > Demographics Screen ECA - Local Language Settings In the “Demographics Screen” of the Enrolment Client Administrator (ECA) login of the older version selecting a local language specified that transliterated text on the RHS of the ECMP would be in the selected language. Now in the new version, if the “Change for the whole application” check box is selected, all labels menu items, and messages on the left hand side which were previously in English, would be displayed in the language specified. Text typed in by the Operator would however continue to be in English

11 Version 1.5 – ECMP > LoginVersion 2.0 – ECMP > Login Type R - Fingerprint Verification at ECMP Login Fingerprint Verification section is required in the new version of the Client during Operator login. This is one of the improved security features.

13 Version 1.5 – ECMP > ReferencesVersion 2.0 – ECMP > References Type R - Proof of Date of Birth In the new version of the client, if the resident has submitted documentary proof of Date of Birth, the type of document can be registered. This is done by first selecting the “Verified” check box and then selecting the document from the drop down list.

14 Version 1.5 – ECMP > ReferencesVersion 2.0 – ECMP > References Type R - Total Number of Documents Submitted Another new section as been added in the “References” screen, named Documents submitted for verification. Used to enter total number of documents submitted. Mandatory number is 1 (for Enrolment Form). Consent Letter is automatically considered a part. Hence minimum no. of docs will be 2.

15 Version 1.5 – ECMP > Generate Report > End-Of-Day Report Version 2.0 – ECMP > Generate Report > End-Of-Day Report Type P - Last Exported on and Last Synced on In the Generate Report > End-Of-Day Report screen, "Last Exported on" and "Last Synced on" has been reintroduced. This enables the Operator/Supervisor to keep track of the number of days remaining within which the next ‘sync’ must take place If the station is not synced within 10 days further enrolments cannot be done

16 Type P - Pickup List Report Version 2.0 – ECMP > Generate Report > Pickup List Pickup list report contains date-wise enrolment report This report is related to the new Document Management System (DMS) that is being implemented DMS is provided by HP who will arrange for the document pickup Pickup List report is for HP

17 Version 1.5 – ECMP > Verify Enrolment Details > Supervisor Review Version 2.0 – ECMP > Verify Enrolment Details > User Review Type R - Verification screen – repositioning the fields Supervisor Review tab has been renamed as User Review. There is no change in functionality, only the Tab name has been changed.

18 Version 1.5 – ECMP > Verify Enrolment Details > Supervisor Review Version 2.0 – ECMP > Verify Enrolment Details > User Review Type R - Verification screen – repositioning the fields In the Verify Enrolment Details > User Review screen, fields are repositioned and displayed outputs are relocated. In the 2.0 the screen is now vertically split as compared to 1.5 which was horizontally split. There is no change in functionality.

19 Version 1.5 – ECMP > Verify Enrolment Details > Introducer Review Version 2.0 – ECMP > Verify Enrolment Details > Introducer Review Type R - Verification screen – repositioning the fields Same change has occurred for Introducer Review screen. In the 2.0 the screen is now vertically split as compared to 1.5 which was horizontally split. There is no change in functionality.

20 Version 1.5 – ECMP > ReviewVersion 2.0 – ECMP > Review Type R - Review screen – labels, display of the biometric details Review screen - Labels have been added to make the data clear to the resident. For eg. Village, Town etc. The biometric details are in a collapsed form and can be expanded for viewing. There is no change in functionality.

21 Version 2.0 – Other New / Updated features ECMP Mandatory Sync – Atleast one Client sync is required within every 10 days (changed from previous 15 days duration). If sync is not done, ECMP will freeze and not allow enrolments after the tenth day. End-of-Day activity - End-of-Day activities can be performed by another operator (other than the one who has logged on). This is in addition to the supervisor. Enrolment Slip - 2D Barcode added to the enrolment slip. Enrolment slip contains information about Quality of Biometrics.
