2 PRIME EFFECTS OF LACK INTEGRATION OF IMMIGRANTS

3 PRIME WHAT IS AN IMMIGRANT? An immigrant person is a person that, either for economical, work, sociological or political reasons, leaves his or her country to establish in another one temporarily or for the rest of his life.

4 PRIME WHEN IS AN IMMIGRANT CONSIDERATED TO BE A CITIZEN IN THE NEW COUNTRY? WHEN HE OR SHE IS INTEGRATED. USUALLY THE SECOND GENERATION OF IMMIGRANTS, AFTER LIVING ALL HIS LIVE AND RECIEVE THE EDUCATION FROM THE NEW COUNTRY.

5 PRIME WHAT DOES INTEGRATION MEAN? The immigrants, when they arrive, they have to know how to adapt to our culture and realize that they won’t be able to follow the same culture here than in their countries. They also have to learn our language, our religion, our education, our way of life, they have to look for a job on their own… They also have the same rights and obligations.

6 PRIME KINDS OF INTEGRATION SOCIAL INCLUSION MULTICULTURALISM ACCOMODATION ASSIMILATION INTERCULTURALISM

7 PRIME SOCIAL INCLUSION: The country give so many advantages to the immigrants, so they are able to adapt in a better and faster way in their new country. To obtein the new nacionality To know the language To have education To get a job (...)

8 PRIME MULTICULTURALISM: All the people can live with their own cultural habits. Is not necessary to know the cultural knowledge of the new country. There is no mix of cultures. For example in England.

9 PRIME ACCOMODATION: The only rule is to respect the law although this law goes against their culture. For example in France.

10 PRIME ASSIMILATION: The immigrants must refuse their own culture in order to adapt to the new one. For example in USA

11 PRIME INTERCULTURALISM: The differents cultures are respected by all the others and at the same time there is an interchange of cultural features.

12 PRIME WHY ARE THE INTEGRATION POLITICS NECESSARY? To prevent the marginality ( unemployed people and people who do not have home, without knowing the language; they can become homeless ).

13 PRIME - To prevent crimes ( for illegal people is easy to fall into the crime system ).

14 PRIME - To prevent racism conflicts ( when the comunities defense their own cultures ).

15 PRIME - To fight against the stereotypes and bias. Bias: the gipsy people in Spain are considered to be thiefts and dishonest.

16 PRIME To prevent ghettos
