2° and 3° classes Comenius project School-year 2005/2006 Carovilli is in Molise in central Italy, you can reach it both by train and by car. It is situated on a suggestive highland, it is at 860 sea level and it counts around 1600 inhabitants. This small village is surrounded by woods and uncontaminated sources and its territory is crossed by the river Trigno, by the tratturis Celano-Foggia and Castel di Sangro- Lucera they testify the ancident pastoral activity of the zone.

2° and 3° classes Comenius project School-year 2005/2006 Carovilli is one of the most colourful countries of the Molise and it is easy to arrive after leaving the Trignina at the height of Pescolanciano a very coloured country, easy to be understood, rich of history and of working people.

2° and 3° classes Comenius project School-year 2005/2006 Carovilli, even if no architect designed it, has one of the most beautiful public squares of the Region. Where the backcloth of the buildings, everyone with a particular functions, is articulated on several degrading levels.

2° and 3° classes Comenius project School-year 2005/2006 It seems the ideal public square, because there is the Town hall, the tower of the clock with the bell, two isolated trees, the fountain with a statue, two bars, the chemist, the Mother Church and the chapel of the Confraternity, the workers society (1884),the pavement in stone, the steps to sit.
