Newton’s First Law of Motion Law of Inertia Inertia means “Tendency to resist change in motion” An object at rest, stays at rest. Object in motion, stays in motion unless acted upon by a force. Questions 1)What is Newton’s First Law Of Motion?

Example: Newton’s Second Law The Human Torch is pulling the Thing (not an easy feat) straight up off the ground by applying a force of 3000 N. What is the magnitude of the Thing’s acceleration? Assume The Thing’s mass is 224 kg.
