Life on the Vine What is the Aim of Christian Life? “If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.” John 15:7-8

Life on the Vine Remaining In Jesus Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. (v. 4) If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit. (v.5a) apart from me, you can do nothing. (v.5b) If you do not remain in me...you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers... (v.6) If you remain in me and my words remain in you... you bear much fruit (v.7-8)

If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.” 1 Corinthians 13:1-3
