What is the Spirit? Jesus said in John chapter 14, verse 26 "But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you." It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. "We love because he first loved us." Conclusion We want the fruits of the Spirit because they make us who we want to be and are a gift from God.
