What is Longsuffering? By definition, longsuffering is…
“Patience, forbearance, slowness in avenging wrongs” (Thayer) “That quality of self-restraint in the face of provocation which does not hastily retaliate or promptly punish; it is the opposite of anger and is associated with mercy” (Vine) It is demonstrated by God! (Exo. 34:6-7; Num. 14:11-20; Rom. 9:22-24)

Longsuffering & Salvation (2 Peter 3:15)
God’s longsuffering leads to repentance (Romans 2:4; 1 Tim. 1:15-16; Peter 3:7-9) If we despise, abuse or deny God’s longsuffering, we hinder our salvation. (Romans 2:4; Matthew 23:37-38; Revelation 2:21-22; Exodus 34:6-7)

God’s Longsuffering Will End (2 Peter 3:15)
It did in the days of Noah (1 Peter 3:20) It will end for us as well (2 Peter 3:10) Realizing that God’s longsuffering will not last forever, what kind of person should you be….NOW??? (2 Peter 3:11)
