1 8.3 – Population Dynamics LT: Examine how one species population size can affect the carrying capacity of a different species Predict: Below is a population curve for rabbits. On the graph predict the shape of the hawk curve, a predator of the rabbits.

2 8.3 – Predator/Prey Explain why you drew your curve like you did.

3 Predator /Prey Simulation Groups of 3 or 4 – One paper per group. Jobs must be listed at the top. Recorder/Reader – Responsible for recording data on the paper and reading directions. Make sure all people’s names and jobs are on the top of the paper Data Technician – Responsible for input numbers on excel and making graph for the group, helping with calculations Field Specialist – Responsible for counting the numbers and reporting to the Recorder Materials Specialist – Responsible for carrying out the trials and gathering materials as well as cleaning up.
