Symbiotic Relationships Step 1: On your piece of paper copy the following information. It can be in whatever order. Just make sure you have these 4 topics and information! Step 2, cut out the paper so that it looks like this Step 3, cut out along the areas that are highlighted Step 4, Fold the papers along the blue lines. Glue tower together where the commensalism section meets the mutualism section. You should now have a rectangular box Mutualism Parasitism Predator Vs. Prey Commensalism Add glue here

Step 6, write down the information in each section Step 5,In the center of your 2 pages, glue down the top 2 tabs!

Mutualism Mutualism – relationship in which both species benefit *Example: insects and birds pollinating plants Can be a relationship between animal/animal; animal/plant; plant/plant

Commensalism Commensalism – Relationship in which one species benefits and the other is neither helped or harmed Examples: Birds building a nest in a tree Can be with animal/animal; animal/plant or plant/plant

Parasitism Parasitism – Relationship in which one organism is living on or inside another organism and is harming it Parasite – the organism that benefits Host – the organism the parasite lives on or inside Example: Fleas on a dog Can be with animal/animal; animal/plant or plant/plant

Predator Vs. Prey Interaction in which one organism hunts and kills another for food Animal vs. animal- no plants! Predator – The organism that is hunting or tracking down another organism for food Prey – The organism that is hunted for food

How you close it … Fold up the bottom two flaps, that are NOT glued down and gently fold the tower flat.
