2 CSIRO. AIM OF THIS STUDY integration of hyperspectral and geochemical datasets to improve the existent 3D model of the Rocklea Dome CID The aims of this project are: validation of CSIRO's hyperspectral algorithms using The Spectral Geologist Software, through analysis of drill core logs and geochemical data; delineation of the main ore zones of the Rocklea Dome CID and surrounding low grade, clay-rich zones;

15 CSIRO. CONCLUSION Hyperspectral and geochemical datasets have been integrated to improve the existent 3D model of the Rocklea Dome CID This study validated CSIRO's hyperspectral algorithms using The Spectral Geologist Software, through analysis of drill core logs and geochemical data Hyperspectral data greatly improved our understanding of the geometry of the Rocklea Dome CID, by delineating the major ore zone and contaminants (e.g. clay minerals) The iron oxide abundance scripts generally correlate with the geochemical data

16 CSIRO. PLANNED STUDIES - Validation of the TSG Software also through the correlation among results obtained from XRD and thin section analysis; - validate and improve the mineral mapping scripts that can later on be used on other deposit styles, where the abundance and composition of iron oxides and clay minerals are of interest; - contribute to linking subsurface mineralogy with surface mineral maps derived from airborne hyperspectral data. - improve understanding of the genesis of the Rocklea Dome CID through the thin section analysis;
