Landforms of Yosemite NP Half Dome of Yosemite Valley –Location in the southeast quadrant –Rise about 8,800 feet from valley floor –Half Dome is made out of granite Lost Arrow Rock Rises about 2,800 feet. Made of granite. El Capitan is a gigantic mass of un broken granite. Rises about 3,600 feet.

Culture The Ahwahneechee Indians 1.Miwok tribe 2.Lived in Yosemite for more then 7,000 years. 3.Grinding rock from them have been found throughout the park.

Waterways Bridalveil Falls The first water fall seen by Yosemite visitors. Upper Falls is 1,430 feet high. Upper Falls is the 2cd tallest in North America. Lower Falls Lower Fall is measures 320 feet high.

Rock and Minerals The Half Dome is made out granite. Lost Arrow Rock is made out of granite too. El Capitan is also maid of granite
