2 Bungling ex-Millennium Dome robber sentenced – OP EMIGRATE Raymond Betson, a bungling robber whose attempted multi-million pound raid on a Swanley cash depot failed when he knocked down the wrong wall with a digger, has been sentenced to 13 years in prison. Raymond Betson, 52, of Clifton Crescent, Folkestone, and other unknown offenders targeted the Loomis Cash Depot during the early hours of Friday 23 March 2012. Betson had been previously convicted for his part in the Millennium Dome robbery in November 2000.

3 Seized assets reinvested within Kent Police When the briefing note for this meeting was produced in September, SCD had obtained 114 confiscation orders totalling £2,252.547.01 and 22 forfeiture orders totalling £105,669.26 As of 9 th October 2014 the number of confiscation orders had increased to 130 totalling £2,394,671.87, with just over £1.5 million of this being in Kent 18.75% of all confiscation orders that are paid to enforcement come back to Kent via the incentivisation scheme As of 9 th October 2014 the number of forfeiture orders had increased to 37 totalling £592,712.21, with £528,852.36 of this being in Kent 50% of cash forfeited is returned to Kent Police

4 More than 320 officers from Kent Police were involved with the National Crime Agency, officers from Slovakia Police and Kent County Council Specialist Children’s Services. The multi-agency investigation is focused on an organised criminal network believed to be involved in the child sexual exploitation of young girls from the Slovakian Roma community in Margate, Folkestone, Dover and Gravesend. Charges include administering substance, arranged child sex offence, child prostitution, false imprisonment, indecent assault, rape, sexual activity with a child. OP LAKELAND / OP IKON More than 450 staff executed 30 warrants at addresses across Kent, the Midlands and Yorkshire in the early hours of Wednesday 7 May 2014.

5 Cyber Crime The SCD is leading the response to combat the growing threat from 'cybercrime’ - both cyber enabled and dependent crimes. Prevent, Pursue, Prepare and Protect strategy will be achieved by working closely with the South East Regional Organised Crime Unit and the National Crime Agency. Through effective partnership working we are identifying the issues affecting Kent and building the appropriate capability.
