Born / Died Warren Gamalie Harding was born on November 2, 1865 at Bloomington Grove, Ohio. Warren G Harding died August 2, 1923 in San Francisco.

Early Life Warren had four sisters and one brother. When Warren was 10 his family moved to a Ohio village called Caledonia. He went to school at Ohio Central College in Iberia. When he was little he worked on a farm.

Professional Life Warren was a editor/publisher and a Baptist in Ohio.

Political Journey He was a republican Warren was in the Ohio State Senate. He was a U.S senator in 1914 and Lieutenant-Governor of Ohio.

Known for as President President Warren was agreed to be the worst president in American history. People made rumors that Warren had black ancestors. Warren held a scandal as president called the Tea Pot Dome Scandal.

Key Events during Presidency Congress limited immigration. Coal-mine strike erupted in violence leaving 36 people dead. Lincoln memorial dedicated in Washington, D.C. Peace between Austria and Germany declared.

Other Interesting Facts Harding’s election was the first election that women could vote in. He was the first president to visit Alaska. He was the first president to ride in a car to his inauguration. Warren gave his speech at his inauguration through a new invention called the megaphone. Warren’s nick name is Winnie.
