9 29/01/2009Catherine Chabert - Cardiff University - SLIPs Campus Numeriques In 2000, 2001 and 2002, the Ministère de l’Education Nationale – the Direction de la Technologie (Department for Technologies) published a Call for Projects – the ‘campus numériques’. A total of 22,26 million euros, i.e. £14.6 million was allocated over the three years (conversion in 2007)

10 29/01/2009Catherine Chabert - Cardiff University - SLIPs First Call - Objectives “- To develop a post-baccalauréat provision in clearly identified subjects and for clearly identified groups of students, either leading to a qualification or accredited, in the mode of open and distance learning, using ICT. - To offer this provision at both national and international levels, which should imply a multilingual provision”

13 29/01/2009Catherine Chabert - Cardiff University - SLIPs Financial Conditions To apply, institutions had the choice of two options: Niveau 1, to obtain financial support to conduct a feasibility study on a particular project Niveau 2, for consortiums already formed wishing to further develop their existing distance learning provision. In either case, financial support received from the Ministère was not to exceed 50 per cent of the total expenditure planned by institutions.
