Our Bias (after the book) The Taliban is evil Afghanistan was filled with mostly innocent people People were poor (less opportunities) Couldn’t get jobs or homes Women were not allow to stay out in the public without a male relative

Conflict in Novel The Sunnis against the Shi’ites -The Taliban take “Hazaras” as lower classes. The Taliban controls Afghanistan -Taliban makes the law. -Women could not work. -Taliban take all the money and food from the Afghanis.

Conflict in Rwanda The Hutu is against the Tutsi -Belgians led the feeling of dominance between the Hutu and the Tutsi -Led to Civil War in Rwanda -the Hutu attempted to murder the entire Tutsi population -Hutu 85% and Tutsi 14%

Patterns/ Similarities The Taliban would be the Hutu in Rwanda. They both are suffering after the war. Took power by the stronger groups Having a hard time making the living Divided into 2 groups
