3. Line Lighter The only thing on the slide will be 2 properly cited passages Be prepared to discuss how they reflect interesting writing (imagery, rhythm, figurative language) Again this may require note cards or an incredibly fluid memory

4. Character Captain Again – the only thing on this slide will be 2 properly cited passages. Be prepared to tell classmates what the passages reveal about a character’s quality traits The 2 passages/quotes can be applied to two different characters or the same one.

5. Themes Identify one theme from the your section’s reading Reminder – a theme is a central message or insight into life revealed through a literary work. “Love” is not a theme “Love helps us to overcome obstacles.” could be a theme.

6. Rubric – what do I really care about Fulfilling each slide’s written requirements Being able to thoroughly explain the summary bullet points, passages, and themes. Higher grades are awarded with well chosen passages, insightful revelations, and well prepared spoken accompaniment
