The Infant Toddler Workgroup of the Iowa State Child Care Advisory Council recognized a need for higher quality infant & toddler care It was their recommendation to bring WestEd’s PITC training to the state, using the Infant Toddler Earmark from the Child Care Dev. Block Grant. WestEd is nationally recognized as the leader of infant & toddler caregiver training

Training Plan Program Attendance Incentive: * Approximately 20% of providers who attended IA PITC from January 2002 - June 2002 attended an entire series. * Providers who qualify, apply, and commit to a training plan are eligible to receive $250 stipend for attending 95% of the series (46 hours).
