Each D1 school allowed 12.69 scholarships for the program, per year (out of 45 on the roster) Each D2 school allowed 10.4 scholarships for the program, per year. D3 and Ivy League and MCLA - no scholarships allowed Most D1 players get partial scholarships Scholarships are renewed yearly

A program needs 10-12 recruits per year to keep the team going Influence with admissions varies from school to school, level to level. In Div. 2 & 3- may have the most influence since potential enrollment has more influence on who is admitted. ◦ Possibly more influence in Early Decision than Regular Decision ◦ 50% of kids proposed by an athletic coach may be rejected (Haverford example) ◦ Don’t make the coach look badly to admissions! The majority of California kids must be admitted primarily on their academic record
