Single Channel Mode vs Different Channel Mode
Consumer Wireless Display uses Single Channel Mode (SCM) Infrastructure wireless band\channel is same as wireless display session. Client system is “Group Owner” Enterprise\Business Wireless Display uses Different Channel Mode (DCM) Infrastructure wireless band\channel separate from wireless display session. WiDi receiver is “Group Owner” Reasons DCM is preferred: Less congestion and conflict for WiDi session If infrastructure WLAN moves client connection, no impact to WiDi Client connection may choose Dynamic Frequency Selection (DFS) channel
