1. Provide weather training for FAA Air Traffic Controllers
2. Administer NWS Certification exams for Pilot Weather Briefers and Tower Visibility Observers
3. Administer quality assurance for Pilot Weather Briefing Program
4. Write reference material for the aviation community

8. What Do We Do? Classroom Training FAA Academy Residence Courses
Air Traffic Basics - 26 hours of weather training for newly hired Air Traffic Controllers
Approximately 1,400 students per year
Air Traffic Controller Tower Visibility (4 hours) - Required to become certified to take tower visibility observations
Approximately 500 students per year
