10. Create a Number Talk in groups Using your notes, the Number Talks book and “Tips for Implementing Number Talks” plan a Number Talk. Make sure you work in groups and be ready to present your Number Talk to a different group. (The other group will solve the problem)

11. 13 Rules that Expire ● Read pg. 20 and the first paragraph of page 21. ● Browse through the rules and pick either 2, 4, 5,10 or 11. Grab that Post-it when you decide. ● Discuss with your team and make a poster that shows what the rule is and why it does not work. ● Be prepared to share out.

12. Math Progressions ●Read through the Progressions. ●Discuss the two paragraphs on the bottom of the first page. ●Post an “ah-ha” and be ready to share out.

14. Math Activity ●Complete the activities (do the math) ●In your groups compare and contrast the activities.

15. Performance Tasks ● Complete the two tasks (do the math) ● In your group discuss, compare and contrast the two tasks.
