13 Rules that Expire ● Read pg. 20 and the first paragraph of page 21. ● Browse through the rules and pick either 2, 4, 5,10 or 11. Grab that Post-it when you decide. ● Discuss with your team and make a poster that shows what the rule is and why it does not work. ● Be prepared to share out.
12
Math Progressions ●Read through the Progressions. ●Discuss the two paragraphs on the bottom of the first page. ●Post an “ah-ha” and be ready to share out.
13
Critical Area and Standards ●Read through the critical areas and standards for NBT. ●Discuss your thoughts. ●Post an “ah-ha” and be ready to share out.

15
Performance Tasks ● Complete the two tasks (do the math) ● In your group discuss, compare and contrast the two tasks.
16
Content Building Activities ●At your tables you have math lab. Complete the lab and move to the other activity. ●Be prepared to share out if/how you would use these and their value, particularly in developing place value understanding. ●YOU HAVE 5 MINUTES WITH EACH LAB
