Introduction Dementia describes a set of symptoms, including memory loss and problems with communication Reminiscence Therapy uses memory prompts in order to evoke conversation about shared memories Reminiscence Therapy is “one of the most popular psychosocial interventions in dementia care” (Woods et al., 2005) Woods, B., Spector, A.E., Jones, C.A., Orrell, M., Davies, S.P.. Reminiscence Therapy for Dementia. Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews 2005, Issue 2. Art No.: CD001120. DOI: 10.1002/14651858.CD001120.pub2. 2

Aims and Objectives To investigate the types of memory which prompt positive emotions To develop guidelines informing the design of dementia- friendly interfaces To develop and test an application to aid in the facilitation of reminiscence therapy To evaluate the effectiveness of the application on the well-being of people with dementia and their carers 3
