2 Rocketship RTT-D Initiatives (2/3) Excellent teachers and leaders: Create robust instructional career pathways: expand the number and reach of highly effective teachers and principals by creating a systemic, coordinated, and individualized approach to developing, recognizing, evaluating, and retaining instructional team members and leaders. Develop educators at all levels to effectively implement learning model: Invest in training to ensure that educators are effective in a non-traditional teaching environment and can adapt and personalize instruction based on data about student learning and student needs. Build a tech-enhanced professional learning community: develop processes and tools to support collaboration and dissemination of effective instructional practices for personalized learning, including development of a knowledge management platform to enable Rocketship to maintain and improve quality as we scale over time.

3 Rocketship RTT-D Initiatives (3/3) Engaged parents essential to closing the achievement gap: Deepen our partnership with People Acting in Community Together (PACT) and other organizations: engage parents to enable success for improved opportunities for education, health, and development of families at Rocketship and beyond.

4 Rocketship RTT-D Initiatives (1/3) Personalized learning to meet each child’s needs: Innovate to improve blended learning model: Invest in continued development of flexible classroom model (4th and 5th grades) and ongoing innovations to the pre-k through 3rd grade models, including launching a Learning Management System (LMS) to support student ownership of learning; codify and share successful school- developed practices and innovations across the organization. Accelerate independent student learning through increased student and family access to technology-enabled supports during out of school time: Increase access and compatibility for students and families to take ownership and make independent learning progress during non-school time.
