5 The Legend of Marathon A messenger ran from Marathon to Athens - 26 miles, to bring the news of victory. After crying out “rejoice!” he fell over dead.

8 The Battle at Salamis  Greeks regained their momentum.  They attacked and defeated the Persian navy,  The Athenians sunk Persian ships.
