8 2010 BDS SENIOR LEADERSHIP MEETING 8 STEM Call-to-Collaboration: Ohio Team America Rocketry Challenge (TARC) 13th annual competition 2014 = 4,000 students in 48 states 60,000 students have participated since 2003 Survey of past participants gave encouraging findings –96% plan to complete a college degree and 68% also expect to attend graduate or professional school –71% plan to pursue a career directly related to STEM –42% very likely to pursue a career in aeronautic/aerospace engineering TARC has become AIA’s model STEM program
