6. What is Portfolio? Modeled fluent reading – rehearse (repeated reading), record, and self-evaluate. Each recording is stored in the student’s “Portfolio” for evaluation at the teacher’s convenience. Students can also access their saved oral reading comprehension recordings through their own “Player”. Oral Reading Subskills include letters, syllables, words, phrases and sentences. Oral Reading Comprehension include high-interest, leveled passages (levels 1 through 10) representing a variety of genres and subjects. Portfolio exercises are separate from Academy of READING ITP.

29. Summary Portfolio offers practice in Oral Reading Subskills, letters, syllables, words, phrases and sentences. Oral Reading Comprehension includes high- interest, leveled passages (levels 1 through 10) representing a variety of genres and subjects. Students hear modeled fluent reading – rehearse (repeated reading), record, and self-evaluate. This is a great complementary tool to help build fluency in the foundation skills of reading.
