E. Selective Service Act (May, 1917) A military draft of men ages 21-30. 2.8 million drafted 2 million volunteer

F. Liberty Bonds Special war bonds to borrow money for the war. Raised more than $20 billion dollars.

G. War Industries Board 1.Regulated war-related production; raw materials, production and fixed prices. 2.National War Labor Board- settled labor disputes. 3.War Labor Policies Board- set standards for wages, hours, and work conditions

4.Food Administration a. Price Controls- system of pricing b. Rationing- distribution of goods c. Daylight Savings Time- increase daylight hours for work production

H. Committee on Public Information Headed by former muckraker George Creel. Rally support for the war.
