33. www.cies.org Scholar - in ‑ Residence Program  Overseas academics and professionals lecture for term or academic year in the arts, humanities social sciences or fields focusing on international issues  Principal objective is to bring scholars and professionals to campuses that do not often have access to such scholars  Can also help campuses initiate international programs, an internationalized curriculum or global studies  Preference is given to  small liberal arts colleges  community colleges  minority ‑ serving institutions
