2 Russia: Improving GTSRP 1.Restoration of tiger population from 30-40 animals in 1940s to 450-500 tigers in 2005 2.Establishment of PAs’ network Priority Indicators: - increasing quantity and quality of tiger population Secondary indicators: - NPA area, sq km - NPA created, % - number of people targeted through awareness campaigns

3 Russia: Three Key Good Practices Compensation for the damage to local communities Compensation to hunting leases within tiger range Compensation to logging companies to cancel lease contracts in core tiger habitats

4 Russia: NASP Preparation NAFS should be prepared by national Experts and presented to GTI
