Purpose Improve traffic flow by reducing the length of traffic queues Increase sight distance at the Tularosa Road intersection and reduce the length and steepness of the approaching grades Need Drivers spend 65% of their time behind slow-moving traffic during peak hours Passing opportunities are limited by oncoming traffic during peak hours Through -traffic is delayed by left-turning traffic Sight distance at the vertical curve at Tularosa Road is non-standard State Route 246 Passing Lanes 3
