Main Points Glorious Revolution – the laws passed by Parliament establishing laws over the monarch. Parliaments Role in Gov. – had a major role, they were in charge of mainly everything Restoration of Mass. Charter- called for the king to appoint the governor of Mass and wanted more religious toleration and non – Puritan representation in the colonial assembly. Salutary Neglect – a set of laws enforcing the American colonies to be obedient to England

Officials and People Involved King James II – consolidated North colonies and his religious opinions were not considered good back home. William of Orange and wife Mary – succeeded James II after Glorious Rev. restored charters and supremacy. Governor of Mass. – had a lot of power: had authority over an assembly, judges, and trade. Political Officers in Colonies – presided by the governor Nehemiah Grew- British mercantilist voiced an early concern about the colonies ‘growing self- determination.
